Awarding of diplomas at the School of Business FHNW
The School of Business FHNW awarded 547 Bachelor and Master diplomas. From September 28 to 30, the diploma ceremonies of the School of Business of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW took place in Basel, Brugg-Windisch and Olten.
A total of 482 students in the Bachelor's programs in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Business Administration (International Management) and Business Information Technology and 65 students in the Master's programs in International Management and Business Information Systems successfully completed their studies at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW.
The University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW
The University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW comprises nine universities with the departments of Applied Psychology, Architecture, Construction and Geomatics, Design and Art, Life Sciences, Music, Teacher Education, Social Work, Engineering and Economics. The campuses of the FHNW are located in the four sponsoring cantons of Aargau, Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt and Solothurn. Over 13,600 students are enrolled at the FHNW. Around 1,400 lecturers impart practical and market-oriented knowledge in 31 Bachelor's and 20 Master's degree programs as well as in numerous continuing education courses. The graduates of the UASNW are sought-after professionals.
The School of Business FHNW
The School of Business FHNW is internationally oriented and practice-oriented. It educates around 3,000 bachelor's and master's of science students in Basel, Brugg-Windisch and Olten and is a leader among Switzerland's universities of applied sciences with its broad range of business continuing education programs. It has more than 160 cooperation partners worldwide and offers international, tailor-made educational programs. It has regional roots and is the contact for small and medium-sized companies as well as (nonprofit) organizations. Since 2021, it has been among the 5 percent of all business schools worldwide that are accredited by AACSB.
New bachelor degree programs
The range of courses offered by the School of Business FHNW is geared to the needs of both students and the Swiss economy. For example, the School of Business FHNW has introduced two new Bachelor's degree programs as of the fall semester of 2023: BSc in Business Law and BSc in Business Artificial Intelligence. The courses have been well received, with a total of 140 students starting their studies in one of the new offerings in September.
