FHNW: Master's program in Sustainable Business Development

In the face of advancing digitalization and the climate crisis, the need for businesses to drive their development and contribute to global sustainability goals is rapidly increasing. Starting in September 2024, the FHNW School of Business will offer a new trinational Master of Science in Sustainable Business Development in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg and the EM Strasbourg Business School (Université de Strasbourg) to qualify the appropriate managers for this purpose.

The master's program is trinational, interdisciplinary and highly practice-oriented, according to the statement. Knowledge and skills are taught in the areas of sustainability, corporate management, environmental technology and digitalization. Concrete projects are implemented with companies, non-profit organizations and public administration. These practical projects make up more than half of the program. Students learn to view complex problems from different perspectives and to implement holistic, innovative and competitive solutions directly in practice. In doing so, they cooperate with experts and executives from business, politics and society, thus laying the foundation for a successful career.

In addition to this, studying in three different languages (German, English and French) and in three different countries enables them to take on international responsibility in teams. Upon successful completion, they receive a triple degree, meaning they receive a master's degree from each of the three prestigious partner universities. This qualifies them as experts in digital and sustainable business management. This opens up excellent career prospects for future graduates, whether in management, consulting, education and research, or as independent entrepreneurs.
