Swiss Lean Award 2023: An award for efficient and exemplary processes

The participating companies completed a professional assessment and impressed the expert jury with their various contributions to increasing competitiveness thanks to lean management. Romano Verdieri, Partner at Leancom AG, summarizes: "The participants in this year's Swiss Lean Award 2023 impressively demonstrated with their consistent applications that lean management makes a significant and indispensable contribution to corporate success. The companies thus improve their resilience and create the basis for sustainable and lasting differentiation from their market competitors. The reduction of waste and the joint and continuous implementation of improvements within the company are indispensable." The jury members also emphasized the importance of a problem-solving process that not only focuses on the problem and solution, but also includes a root cause analysis.

Last week, the technology company Phoenix Mecano Solutions AG, based in Stein am Rhein, came out on top against four other finalists. "The overall package was convincing," says Stefan Weitz, who was part of the expert jury - consisting of experts from Leancom AG, KMU SWISS and the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland. "Not only because Phoenix Mecano Solutions AG applies the Hoshin Kanri method across all hierarchies, but also because the entire workforce lives the lean management philosophy excellently and has integrated it holistically as an integral part of the company."

The other four finalists for the Swiss Lean Award 2023 are Post CH AG Logistik-Services in Zurich-Mülligen, ELSA Group SA in Estavayer-le-Lac, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG in Lenzburg and Ypsomed AG in Burgdorf.

The award ceremonies took place last week, where the winners were presented with their awards and certificates in person at their company headquarters.
