Huawei Switzerland launches SME initiative to accelerate the digitalization of the Swiss economy's backbone
The Enterprise Business Group (EBG) of Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG wants to make digitalization easier for Swiss SMEs and accelerate the introduction of digital technologies. To this end, Huawei has launched "eKit", a standard package of connectivity, storage and collaboration solutions that are integrated, preconfigured and therefore easy to use. The eKit is distributed via Huawei partners in Switzerland and is aimed in particular at businesses in small or home offices, retailers, hotels, restaurants and real estate managers, as well as start-ups.

Due to coronavirus, many Swiss SMEs have already invested in their first digital tools. However, staying up-to-date and further increasing digital competitiveness is associated with costs and know-how, which many tradespeople and small and medium-sized enterprises often do not have to the extent required.
With "eKit", Huawei is launching a sub-brand and an entire ecosystem of solutions aimed at SME and commercial customers. The eKit includes industry-specific SME packages that bundle the most important digital technologies for data transmission and connectivity such as WiFi, access points, switches and other network components as well as storage and the Huawei IdeaHub. The latter is a multifunctional video and collaboration solution that can be used variably as a meeting and presentation room, whiteboard or virtual project platform.
The product packages are preconfigured on a scenario basis for the requirements of a wide range of industries. Huawei is targeting businesses and SMEs that want to set up networks in their branches within hours, quickly train their employees, professionally implement their marketing and event management with little effort or efficiently network with partners for project work and take this collaboration to a new level.
The highly standardized package is aimed in particular at small offices and home offices (SOHO), retail, the hotel and catering industry and the real estate sector. However, eKit is also of interest to innovative start-ups that need to set up their IT quickly from scratch and are dependent on cost-effective, quickly implementable and reliable infrastructures for their product and service development. The outstanding high-tech level of Huawei solutions is ideally suited to these young talents, whose innovation is driving Switzerland forward.
With its digital platforms - the eKit website and app - sales partners and users can efficiently put together their own eKit and control the hardware and software. The eKit is designed to be easy to market, install, manage and use.
