As a member of the Executive Board and head of the "Health Protection and Personnel" department, Edith Müller Loretz has played a key role in driving forward Suva's prevention work in recent years. She was responsible for the 2020+ prevention program. "It has always been important to me that prevention is approached holistically, that the culture of prevention is firmly anchored in companies and that proof of effectiveness is systematically provided," says Edith Müller Loretz. She has also brought this concern to the EKAS, the BFU and Health Promotion Switzerland. She was active in the strategic committees of these organizations. In 2021, she also took over responsibility for human resources on the Suva Executive Board. She has driven forward changes to the corporate culture and working conditions that increase Suva's attractiveness as an employer for current and future employees.

"Edith Müller Loretz has taken Suva a big step forward in fulfilling its prevention mandate. She was also responsible for the development of our new working environment and thus played a key role in shaping our corporate culture with a great deal of empathy and interest in the concerns of our employees," says Felix Weber, Chairman of Suva's Executive Board, in recognition of the important contribution made by his departing Executive Board member.

"It's not a decision against Suva," says Edith Müller Loretz, "After 27 years at Suva, I would like to take a new direction and contribute my skills and interests in a new environment. Where that will be is still open. I am very grateful for everything I have been able to achieve and make happen at Suva and for all the wonderful contacts with Suva employees."

The Suva Council Committee, as the body responsible for elections, will initiate the succession process in the coming days.
