OBT AG appoints two new members of the Executive Board

The partners' meeting of OBT AG appoints Daniel Diethelm and Samuel Kistler as two new members of the Executive Board as of October 1, 2024.

The Partners' Meeting of OBT AG has appointed two new members to the Executive Board, Daniel Diethelm and Samuel Kistler, as of October 1, 2024. Daniel Diethelm will take on the role of CFO of the OBT Group and COO of the IT department, while Samuel Kistler will join the Executive Board as Head of Fiduciary Services Region North.

The appointment of the two experienced experts will strengthen the fiduciary and IT departments, while the many years of external and internal specialist and management experience of Daniel Diethelm and Samuel Kistler will make a significant contribution to the successful future of the OBT Group.

Combination of internal and external expertise

Daniel Diethelm joined OBT AG in July 2018 as Head of the Service Center. Over the past few years, he has played a key role in the steady growth of the Group and various projects. He is now CFO of the OBT Group and COO of the IT department. Before joining OBT, Daniel Diethelm held various positions at Credit Suisse and in the Finance & Controlling division of the management of an international SME. He studied business administration at the University of Zurich and is a CFA charterholder as well as a certified expert in accounting and controlling.

Samuel Kistler joined OBT AG in October 2023. Since then, he has headed the Northern Fiduciary Region and is driving forward the digital transformation in the Fiduciary department. He started his career at E&Y in the auditing department before taking on a management role in Group Reporting and Controlling at the Holcim Group. Most recently, he was a partner at the Avanta Group. In addition to his work at OBT, Samuel Kistler contributes his expertise as a commercial judge at the Commercial Court of Zurich in the Chamber of Auditors and Fiduciaries. He studied business informatics in Lucerne and is a certified auditor and certified tax expert.

The management is convinced that Daniel Diethelm and Samuel Kistler, with their in-depth knowledge and management experience, will continue to play a decisive and successful role in shaping the future of the OBT Group together with their teams. It wishes them both much joy and success in their new roles and looks forward to working with them in the future.
