Internal succession in the Executive Board of Allianz Suisse

There will be personnel changes in the Executive Board of Allianz Suisse as of October 1, 2024 and January 1, 2025. The two members of the Executive Board Stefan Rapp, Chief Financial Officer, and Hanno Wienhausen, Chief Underwriting Officer, will hand over their functions to internal successors, but will remain associated with Allianz.

There will be two changes to the Executive Board of Allianz Suisse in the coming months.

Stefan Rapp, who joined Allianz Suisse as Chief Financial Officer in 2008, is stepping down at his own request on January 1, 2025. After 16 successful years, Stefan Rapp is stepping down from his operational role as CFO, but will remain associated with Allianz Suisse as a member of the Board of Directors of Allianz Suisse Immobilien AG. He is handing over to the current Chief Risk Officer, Remo Cavegn.

Stefan Rapp has significantly shaped the company through his strategic vision and prudent decisions in terms of financial stability and resilience as well as capital efficiency. He began his career in 1995 as a consultant at A.T. Kearney Management Consultants in Munich, Germany. In 1998, he moved to Allianz SE in Munich and worked in Group Planning and Controlling until 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he headed the office of the Chairman of the Board of Management of Allianz Deutschland AG and then moved to Allianz Suisse as CFO and member of the Executive Board.

With Remo Cavegn, 46, an internal successor has been found who brings extensive expert knowledge and many years of local and international experience to the Allianz Group. Remo Cavegn joined Allianz Suisse in 2001 and took over as Chief Risk Officer in 2020 after a successful international career in the Allianz Group. Remo Cavegn holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance as well as further degrees in Tax Law and Risk Management. Remo Cavegn is married and father of one son.

Hanno Wienhausen, who joined Allianz Suisse as Chief Underwriting Officer in January 2022, will become a member of the Board of Management of Allianz Beratungs- und Vertriebs-AG (ABV) in Germany on October 1, 2024. He will hand over to Gregor Huber, previously Head of Corporate Business at Allianz Suisse and Managing Director of Allianz Commercial in Switzerland.

In his almost three years at Allianz Suisse, Hanno Wienhausen has successfully contributed his high level of sales expertise and extensive knowledge of property insurance. Under his leadership, the P&C business was successfully adapted to an environment characterized by severe weather and inflation, and important automotive partners were acquired.

Gregor Huber, 46, will take over as a member of the Executive Board and Chief Underwriting Officer from an internal manager who has been familiar with Allianz for 25 years in various roles. Gregor Huber has headed the corporate business of Allianz Suisse in the P&C division since 2018 and has also been Managing Director of Allianz Commercial in Switzerland since 2023. In the year under review, he achieved the highest premium income and operating results in the history of Allianz Suisse. Under his leadership, the company's business has embarked on a sustainable growth path. With his extensive insurance knowledge and many years of international experience, including positions in investment management at AIM SE in Munich and as Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Suisse, he is the ideal candidate for the position. Gregor Huber holds a Master's degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen, is married and has three children.
