Wifo 2025: The anniversary program is complete
The Rhine Valley Economic Forum will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on 17 January 2025 with a top-class program and expert speakers: Now that some of these speakers are already known, the full program has been announced.
This year's Rhine Valley Business Forum is dedicated to three central topics for the future of companies: Location, strategy and handover of staff. These aspects will be addressed in presentations and panel discussions with leading personalities and experts.
Location and strategy: prospects for the future
In addition to Jahangir Doongaji, CEO of the Hilti Group, Alfred Felder, CEO of the Zumtobel Group, and Franziska Tschudi Sauber, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Weidmann Group, will also take part in the panel discussion on securing the future. Alfred Felder brings extensive international experience from his time at Siemens and his leadership at Zumtobel. Franziska Tschudi Sauber enriches the panel with her expertise in corporate development and her diverse mandates on the boards of directors of major companies.
Staff handover: From the handover to the future
The panel discussion on "Handover of leadership - the change from one generation to the next" focuses on how leadership was handed over from one generation to the next. Diana Gutjahr, co-owner and President of the Board of Directors of Ernst Fischer AG, Philipp Lehner, CEO of the ALPLA Group, and Antje von Dewitz, Managing Director of VAUDE, share their personal experiences and strategies in the takeover and management of their companies. They report on how the handover of the baton took shape and how they want to secure the long-term future of their companies.
Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin: Switzerland as a business location
As already announced in the first media release, Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin will speak on the topic of location and address the attractiveness of Switzerland as a business location for companies, particularly in the context of the recent negotiations between Switzerland and the EU. The 31st Rhine Valley Business Award will also be presented in the run-up to the event. The forum will once again be moderated by Sonja Hasler, SRF. A surprise guest will also appear at the end of the 30th Rhine Valley Economic Forum this year. The surprise guest will be announced at a later date.
