Christian Vetsch becomes Managing Director of Swiss Engineers United AG
Swiss Engineers United AG (SEU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Vetsch as Managing Director. Christian Vetsch, co-founder and co-managing director, takes over the newly created position and thus pursues SEU's vision of bringing together vital and innovative engineering companies for a common and successful future.
The SEU was developed as a platform for Switzerland by engineers for engineers. It responds to the ongoing shortage of skilled workers and other current challenges in the engineering industry with an innovative business model: SEU grows through targeted acquisitions and the smooth integration of healthy SMEs, with the owners of the partner companies and all existing SEU shareholders participating in the holding company. It is an ecosystem that brings together vital and innovative engineering companies by combining know-how, the latest technologies and innovative ideas under one roof.
An experienced leader takes the helm
Christian Vetsch, a surveying engineer FH and Executive MBA, brings over three decades of experience in the engineering industry. In addition to his role at SEU, Vetsch is a member of the Executive Board of HMQ AG, which is an integral part of SEU Holding. In addition to Vetsch's extensive expertise in corporate management, he completed a CAS in Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions in 2023, acquiring the theoretical background for SEU's growth strategy.
Strategic reasons for the change
"The co-managing director structure was ideal for the start-up phase. Now that the SEU is in negotiations with several potential partner companies, a clearly defined managing director is essential to prepare for the integration and make the best possible use of synergies," says Christian Vetsch. Over the next few months, he will focus on strengthening internal structures and successfully integrating new partners.
Future-oriented focus
Looking ahead to 2025, Vetsch plans to establish SEU as an innovative group of companies in the Swiss engineering sector, making it an attractive partner for future strategies of engineering companies in geomatics, construction and planning.
