Mission and successes

Anniversary activities: A look into the future

To mark the anniversary, they are celebrating their successes to date and are looking forward to announcing further exciting projects and events:

Installation of a solar roof on the BPN building in Bishkek in fall 2024

Thanks to a generous donation from long-standing BPN supporters, this project is being realized. With over 2,500 hours of sunshine per year, Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, is an ideal location for renewable energy sources. The solar plant serves as a lively educational project for entrepreneurs and the community and promotes local jobs and knowledge transfer in the field of renewable energies.

Anniversary trip and celebration from June 22-29, 2024

A Swiss delegation of BPN supporters traveled to Kyrgyzstan to celebrate the anniversary together with around 100 BPN entrepreneurs. The participants listened to impressive stories from entrepreneurs who were able to develop their business ideas with the support of BPN.

Osh fundraising campaign

What could be more fitting than an investment that will shape the next 25 years and enable sustainable development? With this in mind, the foundation is launching a fundraising campaign for the project in Osh, the second largest city in Kyrgyzstan, in the south of the country. The population of Osh has had to overcome numerous challenges in recent years, including civil war, emigration of skilled workers and economic crises. Despite these adversities, BPN is one of the few charitable organizations that continuously supports local small businesses on the ground.
