Findependent reaches milestones in customer numbers and assets

Fintech start-up findependent reaches two milestones shortly after its third anniversary. On the one hand, well over 10,000 customers are already using the app to invest their money. On the other hand, assets under management have exceeded the 100 million Swiss franc mark.

At the end of February, findependent's investment app celebrated its third birthday. Shortly afterwards, the 10,000th customer to invest their money with findependent was welcomed.

"The accentuated growth in recent months is not only due to the favorable market environment, but is also an expression of the increased trust in us as an asset manager. Around three quarters of the monthly inflows of money come from existing clients," explains Matthias Bryner, CEO and founder of findependent.

Not only did the number of clients grow strongly, but the average invested assets also increased significantly, doubling to CHF 10,500 in the last 18 months. findependent manages the first CHF 2,000 or more for each customer free of charge for life. "The test phase convinces customers and creates trust," says Bryner with conviction. As a result of this increased trust, assets under management exceeded 100 million Swiss francs in April.

Despite the very low entry threshold of CHF 500, more and more customers are also investing larger assets with findependent. With an investment amount of over CHF 50,000, they benefit from additional reduced fees (0.33%-0.42%), while 0.44% p.a. is already the lowest rate for asset management in Switzerland.

The balanced investment solution (60% shares) from findependent shows a YTD performance of 7.9%, while the pure equity strategy is in the black with 11.8%. The long-term annual returns are 4.9% and 6.3% p.a. (All figures are net of all costs and as at March 31, 2024).
