Abacus strengthens management team with new Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer

The Swiss software company Abacus Research AG has appointed its first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO), Alexander Vegh. The newly created position on the Executive Board underscores the company's strategic focus on artificial intelligence and its growing importance.

Alexander Vegh, long-standing Director of Research & Development at Abacus Research AG, will join the management of the Swiss software company as Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) from April 1, 2024. He will bring his extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and his understanding of innovative technologies to his new role.

Claudio Hintermann, Co-CEO and Chief Research Officer of Abacus, emphasizes the importance of the newly created position: "Artificial intelligence is at the heart of our technological developments. By appointing a CAIO, we are ensuring that AI becomes important for both our managers and all employees and is an integral part of our product development. At the same time, we are driving forward our vision of developing software for the next generation."
