Swiss Cloud becomes part of the Convotis Group

swiss cloud computing ag, the Swiss cloud provider for independent software vendors and ICT resellers with a focus on SMEs, is becoming part of the Convotis Group, an international IT service provider for business solutions, digital platform solutions and managed IT services. This creates the basis for scaling the services of Swiss Cloud in the European market.

Convotis acquired all shares in swiss cloud computing ag at the end of January with retroactive effect from September 30, 2023. Existing customers can continue to count on the tried-and-tested services of Swiss Cloud, and the contacts will also remain unchanged.

Since it was founded in 2013, swiss cloud computing ag, based in Zurich, has developed into the leading Swiss cloud provider for independent software providers and ICT resellers with a focus on SMEs. The company has benefited from strong growth in the past two years in particular, doubling the number of Swiss Cloud users to around 20,000 in 2022. With the retroactive takeover by the Convotis Group at the end of September 2023, swiss cloud computing ag and its services will be integrated into an internationally successful company. The founder and CEO of swiss cloud computing ag, Vito Critti, announced the move abroad last year. The integration into a group of companies active in nine countries means that swiss cloud computing ag's solutions will benefit from already established sales channels. With the acquisition, Convotis is strengthening its expertise in cloud computing and digital platforms as well as its presence in Switzerland.

Convotis is taking over all employees of swiss cloud computing ag. Service, performance and contacts will therefore remain unchanged for all Swiss Cloud users. The server location with data storage in Switzerland will also remain the same. Swiss Cloud founder Vito Critti will become a member of the Executive Board and Chief Sales Officer of Convotis in Switzerland. Convotis' customers include the international technology and mechanical engineering company Palfinger, the logistics company DB Schenker and the Langenthal-based mechanical engineering group Ammann.

Vito Critti, founder and CEO of swiss cloud computing ag, on the future under a new umbrella: "swiss cloud computing ag has reached a critical size thanks to its growth in recent years. Integration into a company that is already operating successfully internationally is the best solution for rolling out the range of services in other markets while continuing to serve the domestic market with the usual stability and security. I am delighted that our customers can continue to rely on the services of their existing contacts and at the same time benefit from even more opportunities. At the same time, I would like to thank them for their great trust over the past few years, without which we would not have been able to write this success story."

José Lopez, Managing Director of Convotis' Swiss business, adds: "With Swiss Cloud, we are acquiring a major player in the Swiss cloud B2B market. This is an important step for Convotis to further strengthen our foothold in Switzerland. We look forward to working with our new colleagues."
