Renaissance takes over traditional company Heberlein

Heberlein, founded in 1835, successfully completed the sale of its business on October 31, 2023. The management, industry expert Daniel Lippuner and the Renaissance Investment Foundation are jointly taking over Heberlein's activities. As a result of this step, Heberlein's shareholder base will change from foreign to Swiss shareholders, allowing the long-term success of the company to be continued in a sustainable manner.

Heberlein embodies tradition and innovative strength. It is known for its high level of expertise and customized solutions in the textile business. As a supplier of nozzles for synthetic continuous filament yarns, the company develops, produces and distributes key components for the man-made fiber industry. Around 80 employees and an efficient infrastructure in Wattwil ensure that international customers can continue to count on reliability and quality.

Preserving the know-how and jobs of an almost 190-year-old company

The acquired Heberlein business will continue unchanged at the current Wattwil site with the current management and all current employees.

The Board of Directors and management of Heberlein AG welcome this solution and are convinced that the tradition and existence of the company will be secured in the long term and that the company will continue to develop successfully - which is also positive news for Toggenburg as a business location and for the canton of St. Gallen.

In Renaissance, Heberlein has the ideal long-term anchor shareholder

The Renaissance Investment Foundation has driven the project forward and successfully finalized it as part of a lengthy takeover process. Martin Zürcher, CEO of Heberlein, comments on the transaction: "With this sale, we are opening a new, positive chapter in the company's long history. In Renaissance, we have found an owner who is committed to long-term success. Together with the energetic management team, I look forward to continuing to make a significant contribution to Heberlein's success in the future."
