A very attractive employer in Switzerland
Around 4.5 million people between the ages of 15 and 64 are employed in Switzerland. The rating and ranking agency ServiceValue carried out a large-scale web monitoring survey to find out which companies stand out as employers with a particularly good reputation, especially online. The companies with the best results are recognized in the "Best Employers in Switzerland 2024" study.
In the first stage of the process, crawling, several hundred million public Swiss internet sources, including editorial websites and social media, were searched for mentions of companies and brands in connection with certain types of events. German and Austrian domains were excluded. The relevant event types were the five topic areas of employer, management, sustainability, profitability and career start. These topics were specified using defined keywords, text and sentence corpora.
In the second stage, processing, the data collected during crawling was evaluated and analyzed using artificial intelligence. For each company, the tonality of each event type was analyzed using text fragments to determine whether the mentions were positive, negative or neutral.
Points were awarded for the individual event types based on the tonality balance and range. The calculation of an overall score was based on a scale of 0 to 100 points. The event type "employer" was weighted at 50 percent, all others at 12.5 percent each. The winner received 100 points and thus set the benchmark for all other companies surveyed. An award is given to those companies that achieved an above-average number of points: They are awarded the "High Attractiveness" rating. Employers that are also above the average of this already awarded group are in the highest award category with "Very high attractiveness".
