The world of work faces the challenge of understanding the different needs of the generations and overcoming prejudices. How can these prejudices be broken down and a better understanding between the generations promoted? At the Eastern Switzerland HR Day, these questions will be discussed in depth in order to provide HR professionals with valuable insights.

Top-class line-up and generation talk

Renowned speakers will take to the HR Day stage on September 26, 2024. One of them is futurologist Tristan Horx, a representative of Generation Y. He raises the question of whether generations can still be divided into traditional models. In addition to his work as a researcher, author and speaker, Horx is the founder and ambassador of the think tank The Future:Project. Dr. Ronald Ivancic from the OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule will provide a comprehensive overview of the topic of "generations". He is a lecturer at the Institute for Organization and Leadership (IOL).

A highlight of the program is the Generation Talk, in which representatives of different generations talk about their views and experiences: 18-year-old Anastasia Kurer, Ivo Riedi, Head of Vocational Training at SFS Group Switzerland, and Michèle Mégroz, CEO of CSP AG. The panel will be moderated by Sabine Bianchi. Michèle Bongetta will talk about generations in the healthcare sector and the changing roles and structures. She is the managing director of the Zihlschlacht and Dussnang rehabilitation clinics and deals intensively with the topic of the "old", "present" and "future" generations. Hans Rupli, President of the focus50plus network, will also be speaking on the topic of "Generation 50plus: opportunities and challenges for companies".

New partnership strengthens the Eastern Switzerland Personnel Day

Following last year's acquisition of Helsana as a new co-sponsor, OBT AG is following suit this year, also with a co-sponsorship. Karin Krawczyk, Deputy Managing Director of Galledia Event AG and Conference Director, emphasizes: "We are delighted to have OBT AG as a new co-sponsor for this year. Without the support of all our sponsors and partners, the Personnel Day would not be possible." In addition to the new partnerships, long-standing supporters such as the main sponsors ostjob.ch and BVS St. Gallen as well as the patrons HR Ostschweiz and OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule will continue their cooperation.
