SEF 2024: Together into a successful future

The 26th edition of the Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) will take place in Interlaken on June 6 and 7, 2024. Steadfastness, strength of character and determination are required to stand up to this year's SEF motto: When the going gets tough.

Especially in these ever-changing times, entrepreneurs, political decision-makers and scientists are particularly challenged to think about Switzerland's role in the world and how to strengthen and maintain the competitiveness of the economy.

How do you successfully manage a company today with constantly changing conditions in the future? How do you make policy when there is a new crisis every year? At this year's SEF, participants and speakers will discuss precisely these key issues. The aim is to find answers together on how Switzerland can use its innovative strength and how its economy can be successfully led into the next generation with long-term and sustainable strategies.

This year's SEF will be opened by the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd. This will be followed by an exciting program with national and international speakers - personalities from business, politics and science:

  • Sanna Marin, Former Prime Minister of Finland (2019-2023)
  • Nassim Nicholas Taleb, American economist and trend analyst
  • Beatrice Weder di Mauro, President Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), Professor Geneva Graduate Institute and INSEAD
  • Georges Kern, CEO Breitling SA
  • National Councillor Simon Michel, CEO and Member of the Board of Directors of the Ypsomed Group
  • Anders Indset, economic philosopher and author
  • Lia Wälti, professional soccer player
  • Yalda Hakim, Award Winning BBC Journalist

In addition to a varied supporting program, the Swiss Economic Award, the prize for young companies in Switzerland, will also be presented at the SEF this year.
