Ahead honors customers for the first time: Variosystems and Medartis

The goal and mission of ahead's founders was to create a communication tool for internal communication. Meanwhile, the company already has 85 female customers and over 70,000 licensed users. 2 of the 85 companies have awarded ahead: Variosystems for the best onboarding and Medartis for the most active community.

Flexible working is just as much on the wish list as a strong corporate culture. The young company ahead recognized as early as 2020 that a new form of intranet was needed to meet the high expectations of internal communication and developed an employee app. This should also make it possible to better reach employees who are not constantly sitting at their screens.

We-feeling with mobile solution

In the meantime, an employee app has become one of the must-haves in a company. "If you want to reach the younger generation as an employer and involve them in the company's activities, you have to be where they are: on mobile," says Pascal Grossniklaus, CEO and founder of ahead.

The mobile solution from ahead enables internal communication, a lived feedback culture and networking within employee communities. This promotes the "we-feeling", improves identification and increases the commitment of all employees. The founders of ahead, together with their customers, demonstrated how easy it is to do this at their first ahead award on September 20.

The winners of the ahead Award 2023

After just three months, more than 70% of the workforce were using the employee app regularly. Variosystems needed a mobile solution because 60% of the employees at the internationally active electronics service provider with nine locations in six countries do not have a desk workstation. As a result, Variosystems was awarded the ahead award 2023 for the best onboarding campaign. The second award winner shows how high the interaction between employees can be when intranet is fun: At the medtech company Medartis, almost 97% of the worldwide employees use the app regularly, which has positively influenced the productivity in the company.
