Svut with new president
The Swiss Association for Environmental Technology has elected Claude Kuhn as its new president. Thomas Lüthy and Dieter Zaugg are also new members of the board.
He has the environmental technology association Svut led with great commitment: Beat Huber, Svut President for many years, who passed away completely unexpectedly on November 1, 2020. Beat Huber was a mover and shaker in the environmental technology sector in Switzerland.
The new heads in the Svut board
After the passing away of the president, the board member Peter Heusser took over the office on an interim basis.
Since the 32nd General Assembly on March 9, 2021, Svut once again has a new man at the head of the association: Claude Kuhn is a long-standing Svut member. The process engineer is managing director of Weyer + Partner (Switzerland) AG. The company consists of consulting engineers and planners in process engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, safety and environmental protection. The new Svut boss is looking forward to his future association activities to further develop the environmental technology association and its network.
Also new to the board is Thomas Lüthywho has been a member of Svut for about a year. Lüthy is managing director of Biomassekraftwerk Otelfingen AG. He will newly represent the Wood Energy Specialist Group in the Environmental Technology Association and succeeds Urs Rhyner, Energie Ausserschweiz AG, who has resigned.
Also newly appointed to the Executive Board was Dieter Zaugg from EcoServe International AG. The current owner and managing director of the company has been in Svut for many years. His company is active in hazardous waste, dangerous goods and chemicals.
Further confirmed were the previous Svut board members Peter Heusser, Viktor Haefeli, Maurice Jutz and Urban Frei. (rs)
