Velopa and V-Locker enter into strategic partnership

Velopa AG from Spreitenbach and the Dübendorf start-up V-Locker AG are entering into a strategic partnership. The two companies offer bicycle parking systems, cycle path infrastructure and mobility hubs to promote resource-saving micromobility. This also includes the sustainable development of the first and last mile to public transport.

Through this cooperation, the two providers are expanding their portfolio of situation-specific solutions for bicycle parking systems and sustainable mobility infrastructure. This benefits both public clients such as cities, municipalities, transport companies, hospitals and educational institutions as well as private organizations, including airport areas, shopping zones, residential developments and site and real estate developers.

Pascale Haslauer, CEO of Velopa AG, explains: "With this partnership, we are creating an important prerequisite for further advancing the sustainable transportation transition. Thanks to the mutual complementary expansion of our services, we are able to plan the optimal bike parking solution for every situation and thus promote urban micromobility."

With around 50 employees, Velopa is a provider of products and solutions in the field of bicycle infrastructure. These include digitalized and mechanical bike parking systems, guidance systems for bike stations, bike lane dividers and access control systems. V-Locker is a manufacturer and operator of automated modular bicycle parking towers, including an IoT platform that simplifies the use and operation of parking systems.

Jens Kirchhoff, CEO and co-founder of V-Locker AG, adds: "The cooperation with Velopa is the next logical step for V-Locker in an increasingly networked and therefore more complex mobility world. Providers of innovative and high-quality mobility infrastructure must not only make their core offering fit for the future, but also create synergies in order to provide mobile people in Switzerland with environmentally friendly and healthy mobility."
