Aqua Suisse industry meeting point with water symposium
At the first edition of Aqua Suisse from November 17 to 18, 2021 in Zurich, numerous suppliers will be showcasing the latest technical developments in water and gas supply and all associated components, technologies and product innovations. Industry associations and cooperation partners will also support networking with exciting presentations and exchanges between the specialist disciplines. In conjunction with the "Water Conference" and the parallel trade fairs Pumps & Valves Zurich and maintenance Schweiz, Aqua Suisse is the place for live knowledge transfer in the industry this year.
Around 190 exhibitors, together with Pumps & Valves and maintenance Switzerland, will be at the Aqua Suisse 2021 together with the industry associations, will represent a broad cross-section of the important industry sector of the Swiss water and wastewater industry. To this end, the premium partners of the trade fair such as vonRoll Hydro (Suisse) AG, Sirnach-based Hawle Armaturen AG, casting specialist TMH Hagenbucher AG, hydrant specialist Hinni AG or Wild Armaturen AG from Jona will present their innovations and services together with an interesting program cross-section of expert presentations to the industry in the Solution Center.
Broad association support
Aqua Suisse also forms a strong network for the benefit of visitors and exhibitors through active cooperation and support with the Swiss Gas and Water Industry Association SVGW/SSIGE, the VSA and aqua suisse, and the Swissmem Association of the Mechanical, Electrical and Metal Industries. The leading trade fair in German-speaking Switzerland also complements the partner trade fair "Aqua pro" in French-speaking Switzerland in order to represent and address the entire Swiss industry.
Aqua Suisse with in-depth know-how
Among many other factual topics, the issue of drinking water supply in changing times is of high importance. This includes aspects such as trends and forecasts, network infrastructure, water quality, condition assessment and analysis through to network flushing, air issues and, last but not least, climate change. In parallel with Aqua Suisse and Pumps & Valves, the Water Symposium, 23rd Lippuner Seminar will be held with the theme of. Infrastructure Buildings will take place in Hall 4 in Zurich.
Visitors and exhibitors will be able to enjoy a smooth transition between the water, wastewater, gas, industrial maintenance and pumps and valves sectors. Expert presentations by practitioners await visitors already on the first day of the trade fair, on November 17, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. in the "SolutionCenter" (cf. Program here). The content partner SVGW will open the lecture series with a broad range of topics at the start. Christos Bräunle, Head of Communications and Publishing, SVGW, says: "In addition to the set of rules and regulations that the SVGW develops together with the industry in the fields of water, gas and district heating in a militia system, the association offers a wide range of training courses. Consulting, certification and numerous technical information round out the SVGW's core offering." On November 17, Rolf Meier, SVGW Vice Director & Head of Water Division, will speak on current water topics, such as micro-pollution in raw and drinking water, changes in water supply due to climate change, and will address future challenges for a safe supply of high-quality drinking water in sufficient quantities for the population in Switzerland. Under the topic "Self-checking made easy for water suppliers", Markus Biner, SVGW water specialist, will continue on November 18 with the topic "Industry guideline for good practice W12 and "AquaPilot - how water suppliers implement the legally required self-checking efficiently and digitally".
Internet of Things as an industry turbo
This will be followed by expert presentations from TMH Hagenbucher AG, vonRoll hydro, Schenk AG, Hinni AG, Wild Armaturen AG, Hawle Suisse, Endress + Hauser Schweiz AG and GWF MessSystem AG, for example, on the topic of "What will the future of the Internet of Things (IoT) look like in 2020 to 2025 and beyond?" Research institutes such as Statista predict more than 30 billion networked devices in 2020 and 75 billion in 2025. For utilities, IoT solutions enable gas, water and district heating networks to be managed even more efficiently. Preventive maintenance, monitoring and analysis of data offer new business models. GWF, as a leading system integrator of IoT solutions in the energy industry, will demonstrate the use of such modern solutions with practical examples. Egeplast International GmbH will report on the topic of "Leakage-monitored plastic pipe for safe wastewater transport through water protection areas" and present the latest, tried-and-tested solutions from industrial maintenance.
