Sustainable building: Wincasa enters into partnership with Madaster Switzerland
Wincasa becomes a new partner of Madaster Switzerland. This enables efficient and facilitated use of materials along the life cycle of a property, the company writes. With Madaster's material passport, customers would get an overview of all elements necessary to realize circular ambitions at the push of a button.

Wincasa manages over 230,000 rental properties throughout Switzerland for which sustainable management is becoming increasingly important, writes the real estate service provider. For this reason, the company works across the entire life cycle, from conception and planning to construction, realization and management, as well as revitalization and repositioning of properties.
For this reason, precise knowledge of the materials used is an integral part of the holistic view of a property, says Beatrice Landolt, Head of Construction & Facility Management at Wincasa: "Madaster enables us to systematically record material data and document it in the form of the material passport. Based on this data, we will in future be able to assess the circularity of the properties we manage and map this in a corresponding index".
Switzerland's first material passport
Thanks to the cooperation with Madaster, in the future one will not only have in-depth knowledge of the materials available in the managed real estate park, but can also use them specifically in another property and support the real estate owners in achieving the sustainability goals on their portfolios. This possibility represents a new dimension in real estate management and opens up the potential for circular construction projects. Such a material passport is being created for the first time in Switzerland for an existing building in the Müllerstrasse 12 conversion project in Zurich. Wincasa is supporting this project of Swiss Prime Site Immobilien AG with its builder's trust department.
"I am very happy about the enrichment of the Madaster network by Wincasa. Together we enable the realization of circular buildings and the reuse of materials. With Madaster, we can practically implement value preservation, which is essential for the environment and companies alike, to create value in the construction and real estate sector," emphasizes Marloes Fischer, Managing Director Madaster Services Switzerland.
