iWay again increases sales by 10 percent

With an increase of 14.2%, the company also achieved above-average growth in Internet connections. This division contributed 61% or CHF 27 million to total sales. The telephony business (Voice over IP) developed equally well. This grew by a total of 10 percent to CHF 9.2 million. Sales of VoIP products (trunks) in the business-to-business segment increased by as much as 18%. The workforce grew by 10 to 62 employees in the reporting period.

"We are extremely pleased that we were able to gain additional double-digit market share in the last financial year despite continued price erosion in a highly competitive market," says iWay CEO Markus Vetterli. "Our efforts in marketing our services via online channels, optimizing our product range and continuously monitoring and improving our service and support quality have continued to pay off," he states. Last year, for example, iWay introduced unlimited mobile subscriptions without raising prices and, unlike other market players, did not adjust the prices of any product categories despite inflation and higher VAT. "Once again, we owe a large part of our success to our partners, who generated 47% of sales," says Vetterli. For the current financial year, Vetterli is expecting somewhat more moderate growth in the high single-digit range.
