These are the winners of the SEF.WomenAward 2024
On March 8, 2024, the fourth SEF.WomenAward was presented at the gala evening at The Circle in Zurich. The women's business prize honors outstanding entrepreneurial achievements and is awarded in the categories of young female entrepreneur and female entrepreneur/CEO of the year. In addition, the lifetime achievement of an exceptional businesswoman will be honored.
This year's award winners are Alessia Schrepfer, WeNurse AG, as "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" and Sandra Banholzer, Rausch AG Kreuzlingen, as "Entrepreneur/CEO of the Year". The honorary award was presented to Barbara Kux.
The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) has honored these three women for their outstanding entrepreneurial achievements. With the SEF.WomenAward the SEF pursues three objectives: Strengthening the visibility of business women among the general public, creating role models for the next generation and consolidating a future-oriented platform for women in business.
Alessia Schrepfer - Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2024
In October 2022, Schrepfer founded WeNurse AG, the first freelance pool in the healthcare sector that is "owned" by its employees. She is the driving force behind the vision of WeNurse, which stands for a better "nursing future" and the preservation of quality in the healthcare sector. The award rewards her for her courage in standing up for the future of women in the nursing profession.
Sandra Banholzer - Entrepreneur/CEO of the year 2024
Banholzer (Here is an interview with her from the year 2023) has been at the helm of the traditional company Rausch AG Kreuzlingen for over 2 years. She is the first CEO who is not a member of the owner family. One of the things that convinced the jury was her ability to guide the company through the necessary cultural change with empathy and enthusiasm, while leading her team as equals.
Barbara Kux - Honorary award winner of the year 2024
Kux is an experienced board member and top manager. She is passionate about sustainability, corporate governance, diversity and Switzerland as a business location. She was the first woman on the Siemens Executive Board. To this day, she uses her experience in leadership development as a lecturer and honorary advisory board member.
