Zurich Airport remains the most popular employer

For several years now, JobCloud, the company to which jobs.ch belongs, has been investigating which companies are most in demand when looking for a job in Switzerland and therefore stand out as popular employers. To find this out, the leading digital company in the Swiss job market determines every year which employers users search for most frequently on jobs.ch and which company they enter most often when looking for a job. Zurich Airport once again took first place in 2023, thus retaining its appeal as a place to work.

Directly behind them, retailers Migros and Coop occupy the other places on the podium, with both moving up one place compared to the previous year. "This ranking traditionally includes particularly renowned companies that are characterized not only by their name recognition and employer branding, but also by their diverse career opportunities," says Davide Villa, CEO of JobCloud. 

Roche in fourth place is an indicator of the great importance of the pharmaceutical industry on the Swiss job market. SBB lost some of its popularity and was the fifth most searched for company by users on jobs.ch, compared to second place in 2022. Swiss Post, on the other hand, was able to maintain its previous position. With Aldi in 8th place and Lidl in 9th place, two more retailers also made it into the top 10 in 2023. Securitas in 7th place and Spitex in 10th place round off the ranking of the most sought-after employers on jobs.ch. "Although the larger Swiss employers were also popular last year, smaller and medium-sized companies also have their appeal, as decision-making paths are often shorter and employees can make a big difference. These companies recruit thousands of talented people every day via our free job advertisements on jobs.ch," concludes Villa.
