Further training à la carte

The HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich has been offering a modular and part-time CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Marketing Management since October 2023. The demand for modularized and flexible training courses, particularly in the areas of marketing, sales and communication, has increased significantly.

The decision to offer the CAS Marketing Management in modular form reflects the ongoing trend towards individualization in education. Students and companies can design their continuing education as a needs-oriented portfolio of topics by choosing from a broad spectrum of currently 20 selected modules that are precisely tailored to their specialist skills and needs.

Flexibility for students and companies

Classroom instruction at the HWZ for this CAS lasts at least 16 days, and the entire program must be completed within two years. Students have the opportunity to put together their individual CAS portfolio according to their needs and complete the program with a certificate thesis. This flexible and modular structure is aimed at students who wish to expand their specialist skills in an individualized and highly flexible manner.

Consulting for customized CAS programs

The HWZ offers consultations on request to support students and companies in putting together a tailor-made CAS. This individual approach makes it possible to tailor the continuing education program precisely to the needs and goals of the participants.

Adaptation to the dynamic market

"We guarantee students the greatest possible flexibility in a dynamic business environment. In combination with our practice-oriented continuing education, we thus have a unique educational offering in Switzerland that precisely meets the needs of students, companies and the market," emphasizes Prof. Michael Grund, Head of Studies at the HWZ.

Agile model for economic dynamics

The trend towards modularization represents an agile model to enable fast, specialized and demand-oriented further training. The focus is on an optimal combination of theory and practice. This enables students to remain flexible and adapt to the rapid changes in the economy.

International success as a benchmark

The success of highly flexible online continuing education courses such as Coursera in the USA shows that modular education is attracting increasing interest worldwide. The HWZ wants to proactively address this global trend and offer students and companies innovative and needs-oriented continuing education courses.

The HWZ sees this new CAS offering as an important step into the future of education and is looking forward to working with motivated students and companies who want to expand their specialist skills in an individual and flexible way.
