Vetica designs new image for Netstal machines

The Lucerne agency Vetica has developed a comprehensive new branding including website and new product design concept for Netstal Maschinen.

The mechanical engineering company Netstal has completely redesigned its corporate identity over the last twelve months in close cooperation with Vetica. "Netstal's previous corporate identity was no longer in line with its high-performance aspirations," explains Peter Wirz, CEO of the Vetica Group. "Our main task was to make Netstal's innovative strength visible from the inside to the outside: To modernize the entire image and significantly improve Netstal's positioning in the highly competitive international market for injection moulding machines."

Revised logo

A central focus of the new branding was the creation of a new word and figurative mark. The challenge was to become more modern without losing the characteristic features of the previous logo. The diamond shape, a pioneering design element of the figurative mark, was retained, but broken up to the left and right. The open sides are intended to convey a clear message: "Netstal overcomes boundaries and opens up to the future."

New CI/CD

The new corporate identity was also transferred to all touchpoints with customers with a uniform color scheme, new typography and imagery. This process included products, website, brochures, signage, trade fair stands and many other elements. To ensure consistent international brand management, Vetica implemented the brand management tool Frontify, which maps a complete digital CI/CD system and provides implementation templates of all kinds.

Scrollytelling on the website

To improve the brand's customer experience online, Netstal's website has undergone a comprehensive overhaul, both in terms of design and interactive structure. With a clear "scrollytelling" concept to help users find the content they are looking for more quickly. This includes, for example, a simplified product finder "Selector" that works based on a variety of application specifications in the areas of PET, CAP, PAC and MED.

New product design

Netstal's injection molding machines are world leaders in terms of innovation, performance and added value. This technological leadership should also be reflected in the design of the machines. For this reason, Vetica's industrial design team has developed various concepts to optimize the machine design. The first newly designed Netstal machine will be presented at this year's "Fakuma" will be presented to the general public in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in October 2023.
