All in all, the Competec Group was able to gather around 1500 participants over two days in Hall 550. Unlike in previous years, this year there was only one public day instead of two. This time, the first day was reserved for selected partners and key accounts as well as for Competec employees. "The event was a complete success," comments Andrej Golob, CEO of Alltron and member of the Competec management.

Many visitors and media representatives present were impressed by the size of the event. The new venue will also have contributed to this impression: The generously dimensioned Hall 550 was well received by the visitors, as reported by Competec. There was a lot of positive feedback from exhibitors, session speakers and star guests. CONNECT 2024, which is planned for the end of August next year, will again take place in Hall 550.

Well-attended "SCORE!" sessions

Competec gathered a total of over ninety exhibiting technology companies at CONNECT 2023 in Hall 550 in Oerlikon. The exhibitor mix, comprehensively and carefully assembled according to customer needs, covered a wide range of solutions and products. The reusable "CONNECT" exhibition stands made of PEFC-certified Willisau wood elements were once again a highlight this year.

Spectacle was also provided by the exhibitors themselves. Parallel to the exhibition, around 30 sessions were held in four lecture rooms. The ICT trade fair was presented by HP Inc, Microsoft, Samsung, Mitel Switzerland, APC by Schneider Electric, as well as Dell Technologies and Microsoft Surface, which made itself available as a catering sponsor. The session track on digitization in retail, which was designed and conducted by the team of the "SCORE!" conference for retail and e-commerce, was the best attended.

CONNECT 2023: Evening program

At 16:00 the fair ended. Prix Walo winner Phil Dankner and the Lucky Wüthrich Band opened the evening with music. On stage, Andrej Golob, CEO of Alltron, and Marc Isler, CEO of Brack.ch, reflected on the show and discussed the challenges in light of the growing integration of artificial intelligence into the solutions on display and the simultaneously still important role of emotional intelligence and humanity in the ICT retail sector. At the end, both CEOs agreed that the focus should now be on the human aspects and opened the buffet for networking over a delicious dinner.
